Thanks for the question and comments! You will see one day that distance and accuracy go hand in hand!! Smooth tempo and timing to create the best flowing powerful momentum revolving around a very steady axis...:)This is the "In a nutshell" description...The best for you is to get my DVD and go over the whole 4 hours step by step as it is all priority sequenced so you don't miss anything important; then you can fine tune! By the way shawn, how can i improve on distance yet maintaining accuracy? Im a right hander and newbie in this game.

Excellent vids and very clear instructions, shawn. Your one leg drill is so good that im hitting 120m accurately with 7-iron as opposed to 70-80m but all over the place using traditional methods. The best thing is, im enjoying my golf more than ever.

Hello there over there!:)Thanks for the comment and question! What you need to be working on is allowing the body to feel the momentum so it can react to it and clear by itself; this means that the focus should always be on the momentum going to the target by itself...check out "arms falling down plane", "momentum toss" part one and 2, "alignment tweak", "catapult power" and "Hogan Power move"...And you will love the dvd as it has all these elements in priority sequence...Shawn

Hi Shawn, thankyou for all your fantastic videos - will be buying the dvd! I have suffered from the shanks all year and the main cause was falling forward in my downswing. I am working on planting my left heel and either hit a great shot or a big pull the left. What should I work on to correct this? I suspect I am still not letting my arms fall consistently or not clearing my left side. All help is greatly appreciated - just wish I come across the pond for a 1-2-1 lesson!

Yes I do! :)Have a look at the "Golf Pro Lesson Transition", "Hogan Power Move" and "hammer Throw" videos of mine; I have always enjoyed the feel of a good squat to ready for the centrifugal pull of the downswing energy; other great videos to watch are "Leverage Power" and "Catapult Power"...Thanks for the comment and question! Shawn

Great instruction Shawn, I'm in the same boat as "ESADE08" and do not lift my right foot in the backswing (im a lefty!) do you have any useful triggers to get the weight shift right? Thanks again for the excellent instruction, Shane.
ESADE08 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Hey Shawn! I observe that you trigger your weightshift in the downswing by planting the left heel. I am a little bit of a "front-shifter". How can I trigger better the weightshift from behind if I don't lift my left heel in the upswing? Thanks and have a great day. Patrick.

Hello Indeeddesign!Have a look at my "Golf Pro Lesson Swing Plane", "Modern driver" and "Modern driver part 2" videos which will give you more insight on the slight differences between the irons and woods; also the "Taut swing" or "Taut Arms" as well as the "Set up for taut arms" videos will help complete the train of thought...Shawn |
