Your dad might remember Ange's "understudy", a guy by the name of Larry Zimmerman. "Zimmy" is still there, now the superintendent himself. Those of us who remember are grateful for Ange and the work he did at Good Park. There should be a placque at least to commemorate him there.

Yeah, I was just kidding about you being banned. I knew Ange fairly well. He was the superintendent. You should know that Good Park was then and still is the finest public course in Akron. I was a junior golfer when I knew him. He was extra-nice to us young boys learning the game in the 1970's. You were named after a good man, Ange.
