>For example if Enlil controls all aspects of weather, that surely makes him a god, no?That's where you fail in your logic. For God to be All Powerful He must control everything, including the weather as you mentioned, otherwise He is not All Powerful. See my point. And it's not unfair, see Ontological argument. See also Teleological arguments!

> they are not all powerful or all knowing at> the same time for example, these qualities> only apply to GodAny being having more than natural attributes is a god by definition. For example if Enlil controls all aspects of weather, that surely makes him a god, no?You are trying to exclude some gods from the competition simply by declaring that they do not meet some arbitrary requirements which you set. That's completely unfair towards less ambitious gods, such as Utnapishtim or Ishtar?

> for something to be God it must have certain> qualitiesI suppose being invisible and undetectable by any means, is one of those requirements, because all gods are invisible and undetectable.Isn't it funny how they share those characteristics with things that do not exist?> all powerful or all knowing at the same> time for example, these qualities only> apply to GodAs far as I know, no being matching your criteria is known to exist. Do you have evidence for any of this?

What you don't seem to understand is that for something to be God it must have certain qualities, otherwise it isn't God. The imaginary friends you speak about of thousands but they are not all powerful or all knowing at the same time for example, these qualities only apply to God!

> You carry on with your fairy tale dreamsIn one essay, H.L. Mencken listed 3000 easiest to name gods. They all share some characteristics. For example they are all invisible.Despite of the universe being filled with all sorts of wonderful things, most of them are obsessed with primate sex habits. Imagine that?See the difficulty here? They are so many invisible friends that one could believe in, that it is hard to convince yourself that any one of them is better than all the others.

> many atheists say they felt> the need for God when they were ill and> it was only at these times they remembered> GodI am sure you are right. When a person faces a situation where there actually is no hope, they tend to lose their ability to think critically, and they might believe any promise for an improvement, no matter how false it actually is.For example, people who practice "alternative medicine" take advantage of this.

You carry on with your fairy tale dreams LOL hahaha Mother Gosse! LOL It's only when you become sick/ill then you turn to God, the REAL God! You don't cry out to Mother Goose then do you? I've heard many atheists say they felt the need for God when they were ill and it was only at these times they remembered God! How pathetic. It shows your hypocracy!

> Yeah but my REAL friends are stronger> than yours and bigger in number! What do you intend to do, put a fatwa on me?If a person absolutely must have an imaginary friend, WHY does it always have to some homophobic, genocidal, vindictive control freak god?Why not choose some character who is kind and gentle, like Santa or Mother Goose? They don't glorify death, or want you to bring up your kids to hate other nations.
